The weather today is great. Warm but not hot sunny, with a slight breeze from the east. I am takin it easy listening to Beck, Jack Johnson, G Love, John Lee Hooker, and Sublime all mixed up. It's nice.

Despite my relaxed feelings and super chill music, I am only taking a break from the following:
My folks; they are both being surprisingly immature and inconsiderate and so they are fighting without getting anywhere.
My AP Econ grades. It's bad, I just blacked on two tests recently.
My Math grades. I've been working so much on re-ripping my endless music collection, and reading The Odyssey, Brave New World, The Taming of The Shrew, and the poetry of William Carlos Williams that I have let my math slip.
*Advice: don't read too much for pleasure when there's real work to do.*
My art is no good recently, I'm in a rut and a block. my creativity is all dried up.

My brother's playin his first big show tonight and I'll not be there because of the benefit event I'm doing instead. This is particularly bad, because I've never heard him with teh rest of the band (Adam Kingsley Smith Trio (I say he drops the 'smith' cus it flows better)) So, I'll hopefully see them at the next show.

Trouble

    Hey everyone.

As you might've guessed things have been busy for me. Between art, familiy issues and school, I am all spent up.  However, my sister and brother-in-law just finished building me a new computer and this baby is sexy. It's fast and nice to look at with fancy rainbow lights and crap. I am still working on a name for her.

The dad situation. Things aren't great but God is good. There's a lot of tension but Dad's back and he's trying really hard to overcome his alcoholism. He's in several meetings with AA and Pathways (the particular rehab clinic we are working with.) Things are hard, but I am happy to say that I have been growing closer to God throughout it, and I will try to hold on to this reliance as long as possible.

One Downside to having a new super-awesome-computer is having to reinstall some of the things I use a lot like Word, Photoshop, or video games. I had too much stuff on that last one, anyway. The biggest chore so far is re-ripping all my several thousand songs onto Media Player.

Prom was on Friday, and I had a pretty good time. I didn't bother to ask anyone this year and just danced with everyone else's dates. It was nice to avoid the hassle but it also meant I didn't have anyone I could dance with whenever I wanted, and driving and i big group as I did, I left much earlier than I wanted and didn't get to do nearly enough dancing as I wanted or with as many girls. Still, I had a good time, I just wish I could've stayed longer.
After waking up crammed onto Kels' couch saturday morning Bob and I ventured into Downtown Annpolis to take part in protests of the ICC (Inter-county-connector or something like that.) It's a huge six lane highway planned to be built straight through very important greenspace of three counties. O'Malley (thats the Governor) says it'll will cut back on road congestion and lower greenhouse-gases, but we had officials on road building committees and environmentalist groups give speaches on how it isn't likely to take more tha four minutes off anyone's commute. For a third of the price, we could reform and expand the public transportation of all three counties and really fix up public transporation around BWI (Airport) which can be hell. David Seel (teacher/hippy) and I were interviewed by a reporter and were in a lot of the pictures so keep an eye out for that.
